Throw & Grow gets the job done with minimal tools.
I dont plant big food plots anymore. We have cattle on our land so we have to fence off the feeders and we just plant inside our feeder pens. There are 100's of acres of wheat and rye within a 1/4 mile of me but my feeders are in small wood lots adjacent to pasture or crops. I use round up to knock down the weeds in august then I come in and mow in sept. and put the seed down. by mid to late Oct. it's up and being hammered by the deer daily. The mix in the throw & gro is perfect for this type of plotting and it has performed better than I expected. I usually fertilize in late Oct. and it draws deer like crazy. You don't have to feed every deer in the county, these small plots keep the does around and the bucks know right where to find them in November.
