Urea protein can be fed economically and effectively to ruminants. Microorganisms which flourish in the rumen utilize the urea protein, which is then converted into amino acids. Very young ruminants, without a fully developed rumen, and non-ruminant animals should be fed natural protein. It is essential that ruminants consuming urea protein receive adequate forage and water.
Feed limited amounts for a few days, then feed free choice. Supply at eh rate or 200 pounds per 10 head of cattle. After a few days, consumption should level off to 10 ½ to 2 pounds per day per head.
For beef and dairy cattle on pasture.
